I tried to contact Kia America through their customer portal and then by writing a certified letter to the CEO. So far, I haven’t receved a response.
The car was originally owned by the rental company Enterprise. Although rental cars are driven hard, I imagine that most rental companies have pretty good maintenance schedules.
The car had at least two oil changes in the months leading up to the engine failure. Her fianće likes to do this maintenance himself.
