In this article I’ll give you step-by-step instructions on how to create your own blog with plain text markdown files in a few minutes.
My plan is to help others create a website or blog with nothing but text files in Markdown format. Preferably without having to think about anything but the text. Eventually I’d like to adapt this so that it’s easy for non-technical users, but I’ll have to work toward that.
I’ll combine my previous instructions about Using Neat CSS on GitHub Pages, Hosting Markdown on GitHub with Neat CSS, and How I Use Github as My Blogging Platform.
I may create a tool that uses this template, but that will come later. I’m imagining a single command or program that you run to generate your own site based on this one.
I’ll follow the directions I wrote about Hosting Markdown on GitHub with Neat CSS.
