Share “how I” stories, not “how to” instructions. I’m documenting what I do, not prescribing what others should do.
Involve my audience. Make them feel like part of the journey, not just spectators.
Always include a byline. Since I write in plain text instead of using a traditional blogging system with timestamps, I add a byline to preserve authorship and date directly in the original file. I end every post with “Written by Joel Dare on [date].”
Show my personality. Write like a human, not like a textbook.
